Mexico en la Sangre is a show capturing the art of charreria (Mexican rodeo), Caballos bailadores (dressage or dancing horses), Folklorico, and live music! The rodeo show captivates people’s attention through Charreria balanced with dancing horses, live music, and folkloric dancing! Charros present the different suertes in charreria. Escaramuzas bring the real feel of Adelita’s in their synchronized presentations. Both competitors love what they do and share the traditions with all of Fort Worth. The Caballos bailadores (dancing horses) demonstrate the different passages of a well-educated horse in the Alta Escuela. A crowd favorite is the jumping horse doing a Cabriola! The folkloric dancers bring different traditional cultural dances to each show. Mexico En LA Sangre is known for providing all live music from banda to mariachi! Mexico En La Sangre has become a family, and we hope fans can capture how well everyone brings their different traditions to play!

FWSO Family Series: Mozart’s Magnificent Voyage
Saturday, February 8 | 11am
This popular adaption of two Classical Kids stories features Mozart’s young son, Karl, who longs to be taken from his boarding school to spend more time with his famous father. An old traveling trunk serves as a magic chest that reveals an incredible journey back in time to Mozart’s childhood and into the fantastic world of Mozart’s great opera, The Magic Flute. Along the way, Karl comes to understand Mozart’s extraordinary life as a traveling prodigy, his passion for composing, the pressures of family and fame, and the common bonds they both share. Audiences will enjoy twenty three excerpts from some of Mozart’s most famous pieces as they magically weave in and out of the drama, including themes from The Marriage of Figaro and Don Giovanni, popular selections from The Magic Flute, and more! FWSO Musical Storytelling: Spano Conducts Scheherazade and The Rite of Spring
Saturday, February 1 | 7pm
Who doesn’t love the story of 1,001 Arabian Nights? In Scheherazade, Russian composer Rimsky-Korsakov used the full might of the symphony orchestra to retell a few of those tales. He eloquently uses the solo violin to represent the clever orator, Scheherazade, while the heavy brass portrays her merciless monarch, the Sultan. Balancing the program is another of music’s most famous tales, Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, a ferocious story of sacrifice and rebirth where the orchestra and dancers share the stage. The Rite of Spring is Rated R Before each symphonic concert, FWSO Principal Keyboard Buddy Bray offers a pre-concert lecture to dive deeper into the works, their history, and other fun concert-related facts. Bachtales with Buddy is free for all ticket holders. RIMSKY-KORSAKOV: Scheherazade Robert Spano, conductorBACHTALES WITH BUDDY | 1 Hour Before Concert
